Devising Theatre

What's invovled: Using improvisational unique stimuli we can help you create theatre pieces. This workshop can work on a number of different stimuli (which we can provide). We can also see you through the devising process. This will include a series of workshops leading from the shows inception to production.

Street theatre

What's Involved: Our experience of winning the 'bedford street theatre festival' has allowed us to help create street theatre troupes. Working alongside course objectives we can help create a street theatre based upon devising techniques. With this particular package a lot of the work will be individual and will be constantly assessed and updated by our team. We can either be brought in for a one off session or as series of workshops.

Directing Theatre

What's involved: Directing is a difficult task, especially for institutions who haven't had experience in this field. Our company will use their skills and techniques to get production ready for an audience. We can be hired as an auditor, to look at what can be improved and what the strong points are, or as a creative artist involved within the creation process.

Practitioner Workshop

What's involved:

This workshop embodies the skills and techniques taught by leading practitioners and will give an overview of the work they have produced, some basic history on what they believed, and some of the techniques they developed. These practical workshops allow the participants to dive into a practitioner and understand what they were after due to being involved in the techniques.

These workshops can be done on:

Konstantin stanivslaski: This workshop can focus on given circumstances, units and objectives, emotion memory and other naturalistic acting techniques

Bertolt Brecht: This workshop will focus on the techniques of Bertolt Brecht including the 'alienation' effect, chorus, plaque cards and narration techniques.

Augusto Boal: This workshop looks at the idea of theatre of the oppressed, which will use games and exercises to experiment with the idea of forum theatre and intervention theatre.

Character Building

What's involved: Just started a play? Then this is the perfect workshop for you! Using drama techniques we will help your children create a character. Including voice, movement andline preperation.

What's needed?: A large work space and a copy of the script to analyse

Mask Making

What's involved: Create your own maks using different materials such as paper mache and paperbags. A perfect chance to let you children create the characters from their literacy based projects or plays.

What's needed?: A classroom. All materials will be provided

Mask Workshops

What's involved: This is a beginners workshop in using masks. (whether these are some you have created or not. Using simple techniques including mime and emotion enhancement we will transform your children in mask artists in this simple to grasp workshop.

What's needed?: A large space, masks (if you have created your own)

Physical Theatre

What's involved: This type of theatre will teach your children to use their bodies more to express their performance. We will use drama practitioner techniques to help your children tell their tales through body movements. This can be used with text and mask based workshops as well.

Teacher in role

What's involved: Teacher in role can be used to help engage children in plot and story creation. It helps children also to understand emotions and can be used to aid creative writing. Our drama practitioners will give a basic frame and structure of a story. The final direction of the story will be decided by them as they decide how the story takes place.

Murder Mystery

What's involved: Your children become the detectives in this exciting workshop. There has been a murder at Lockley manor and it is up to the children to follow certain tasks to work out who the murderer is. These tasks include poision detection, footsteps and fingerprint analysis as well as questioning the characters in person. This workshop can also be adapted for the lower key stage by changing it from a murder mystery to a missing item.

Theatre in education

What's involved: Using theatre in education to help deal with sensitive issues in P.S.H.E. Using our group of actors we will put on scenes relating to the particular issues you are dealing with in your curriculum and will use drama techniques to allow your classes to delve into the topic in a safe enviornment.

Voice explosion

What's involved: Using drama and music based techniques we will allow your children to use their voice to their fullest potential. Helpful for use in plays or singing

Performance Confidence

What's involved: Our performance confidence workshop is used to increase the confidence of aspiring musicians. Either this can be used just to enhance the abilities of already capable musicians or we can work with beginners of music performance.

Improvising

What's involved: This workshop teaches a very basic form of improvisation. It will allow your class to create their own music on an improvised basis. This can be based around topics, text, rhythm and sound exploration.

What's involved: This workshop gets children to compose their own songs using a variety of techniques and sources.

Voice Training

What's involved: This workshop will help children develop and learn control of their voice. This can help with timing, harmonising and pitch development.

Modern jive, salsa and tango and ceroc

What's involved: This workshop can be a continuous course that will teach your children a mixture of partner dancing that revolves around modern jive, salsa and tango. Get your children involved with the salsa rhythm and improve their co-ordination.

This form of dancing follows a simple set of rules and is easy to pick up. The company can teach anywhere from Beginner to Advanced classes. With move sets of up to 16 in the beginner class and 240 in the intermediate class there are always plenty of moves to teach. This style of dancing will allow for all the dancers to enjoy themselves and can be taught in one hour sessions.

Devising Dance

What's involved: This workshop can help children develop their own dance performance. This can be based around different topics, texts or music.  This uses techniques from DV8 theatre company.

Laban Workshop

What's involved:This workshop will focus on the work of Laban and the efforts techniques. This will look at the different movement types suggested by Laban and how to create dances using these methods.
